Deirdre Orceyre, ND, MSOM, LAc

Dr. Deirdre Orceyre grew up in Northern Virginia and was exposed to natural medicines at home at an early age. She spent her last years of high school living in England and France, where she learned about homeopathy and other techniques of the healing arts. Dr. Orceyre is a graduate of Reed College in Portland Oregon, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. After several years working with children, parents and teachers in the Portland area schools, she went on to study Naturopathic and Chinese medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of the nation's leading institutions in natural health education. In 2004, at the end of a six-year medical program, she graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. Following her medical training, Dr. Orceyre was offered the rare opportunity to participate in two years of a highly competitive full-time residency program focusing on internal naturopathic medicine at her alma mater. During her residency, she also maintained a busy private practice. Over the years, Dr. Orceyre has travelled extensively in China, furthering her understanding and knowledge of Chinese medicine, culture, philosophy and language.

Dr. Orceyre has undergone extensive national examinations and is a board certified naturopathic physician (ND) in Oregon and Washington DC and a licensed acupuncurist (LAc) in Oregon, Washington DC and Virginia. She is also nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a member of multiple national and regional professional associations.
